O VIII Fórum Da Vinci de Discussão Estudantil se aproxima (14 e 15 de agosto) e para iniciar os trabalhos, ocorreu sexta-feira (03/07), o primeiro encontro preparatório do evento que tem como objetivo desenvolver as habilidades de debate por meio do exercício da argumentação. O Fórum Da Vinci também visa trabalhar a capacidade de pesquisa do aluno, que deverá buscar informações sobre o país que irá representar e sobre o tema que irá discutir em seu comitê, com base em suas pesquisas o aluno deverá fazer inferências e entender conceitos de geopolítica.

O encontro foi dividido em dois momentos, em um primeiro instante os alunos estiveram reunidos no Auditório Leonardo para receberem instruções dos professores Joelmo Costa e Marcelo Moreto, que explicaram a maneira diplomática com a qual devem ser conduzidas as discussões do Fórum, o tipo de vestimenta que deve ser adotada pelos alunos, e apresentaram-nos os pontos norteadores de cada tema para auxiliarem-nos em suas pesquisas. Em um segundo momento os alunos se dividiram em seus respectivos comitês para esclarecerem dúvidas específicas e receberem orientações diretamente relacionadas à seu referente tema. O segundo encontro de preparação ocorrerá no dia 07 de agosto.

The first Fórum Da Vinci meeting happened on July 3, 2015. The objective of the meeting was to prepare the participants to debate and to know how to interact among themselves during the Forum. In the beginning of this part of the preparation, the teacher Joelmo Costa, one of the coordinators of the project, highlighted to the students the importance of the Fórum to their academic lives. The geography teacher Marcelo Moreto explained the methods of evaluation as well as the contents and format of the Official Position Paper. He emphasized the relevance of the Position Paper to the evaluation and for the opening speech.

The students were instructed on what each committee is going to focus on. The committees are divided into three categories: ACNUDH, DSI and CS (English, Portuguese and Spanish). The three categories are parts of UN and their objective is to establish peace and solve humanitarian issues. The subjects that will be debated at the Fórum on August 14^th and 15^th are: humanitarian issue regarding the illegal immigration in the Mediterranean, Palestinian issue and the terrorist groups that are one of the most discussed themes of nowadays.

Lastly, the teachers divided the participants by their committees and took them to separated classrooms to talk more about their specific committees. They were given them more tips about how to study for Fórum Da Vinci, how to be prepared to actively participate and have success in this project.
